Carbohydrates

Carbohydrates are the common group of organic compound in nature.
Cellulose is the commons carbohydrate in nature.
In carbohydrates oxygen to hydrogen ratio is 1: 2.
Based on the structure the carbohydrates can be divided into 3 catogaries,
             1. Monosaccharides
             2. Disaccharides
             3. Polysaccharides

Polysaccharides can be divided into 2 groups
             1.structural polysaccharides
             2.storage polysaccharides

                                       1.MONOSACCHARIDES
Monosaccharides are composed of  simple sugar units.
Hexoses are the common rule of monosaccharides.Glucose is the most common hexose.
              Ex;glucose present in fruits
                    lactose present in milk

                                   2.DISACCHARIDES
Disaccharides formed by combining  2 monosaccharides by glicosilic bond.
Usually hexoses are going to form disaccharides.

There are 3 types of disaccharides
          1.Moltose
          2.Lactose
          3.Sucrose

                                  3.POLYSACCHARIDES
Large number of monosaccharides linked to form polysaccharides.
Forming a polysaccharide polymersization of monosaccharide have to be occur.
Polysaccharides are large complex molecule which have a high molecular weight.
